As Rick Sramek, a district supervisor with the ASDA-APHIS, notes, the animal has survived and expanded its range despite control attempts that have surpassed those for any species in North America.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CJ Winand,\u00a0<\/strong>a staff writer for\u00a0<em>Bowhunter<\/em>\u00a0as well as\u00a0<em>Deer and Deer Hunting Magazine<\/em>\u00a0wrote on the website\u00a0<em>Bowsite.com<\/em>, \u201cCoyotes are omnivores, which means they will eat almost anything. One research project in Texas showed that predators, primarily coyotes were responsible for 60 percent of all fawn deaths in one year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Without question, deer losses such as this represent a significant financial setback and huge damage in a wildlife management program.<\/p>\n<p>There are several ways to control these predators.<\/p>\n<p>The use of predator wire can help greatly in this matter. Quality <a href=\"\/about-us\/ranch-fencing-materials\/\">ranch fence materials<\/a> will come\u00a0in a 26-inch-wide net wire that can be laid on the ground and attached to the bottom of the 8-foot fence with <a href=\"https:\/\/tejasranchfence.com\/fence-solutions\/hog-proof-fence\/\">hog-proof fence<\/a> rings.<\/p>\n<p>Turf staples can be used to secure the wire to the ground if the soil is not rocky.\u00a0 An electric wire is also an enhancement predator management tool to keep coyotes from digging under the fence. It also keeps the coyotes inside the <a href=\"https:\/\/tejasranchfence.com\/fence-solutions\/high-game-fence\/\">high game fence<\/a> from getting out. \u00a0Usually an intense coyote hunting needs to take place by someone that is qualified after the wire is installed.<\/p>\n<p>Another form of predator wire is to use a barb wire which has four point barbs every three inches laid on the ground and attached to the bottom of the high fence.
